New arc’teryx shop-in-shop in snell sports

Arc’teryx is a Canadian company based in the Coast Mountains. The design process is connected to the real world, focused on delivering durable, unrivaled performance. Their products are distributed through more than 3,000 retail locations worldwide. In the end of 2022, the brand chose to open a 100m2 shop-in-shop in Snell Sports. Arc’teryx derives its name from ARCHAEOPTERYX LITHOGRAPHICA, the first reptile to develop feathers for flight. Founded in North Vancouver, British Columbia as Rock Solid by local climbers in 1989 and becoming Arc’teryx in 1992, they remain a gathering place of like-minded people focused on and inspired by solving problems found in the mountains. There are unique and demanding challenges in the mountains of coastal British Columbia that test designs and drive innovation. The Design Centre is a hands-on think tank of designers, materials experts, pattern makers and product developers who know what they want, how it will be used and why it has to work. At Arc’teryx, the goal for product design is to create equipment that enables a person to be immersed in the moment of doing, regardless of external conditions.

Simple solutions to complex challenges; this is the essence of minimalism and Arc’teryx’s philosophy of design. Reducing the effects of weather, streamlining use and moving efficiently creates a timeless, outdoor experience. Based as much on art as on science, good design is the result of instinct, discipline and discovery. The brand have an engineering team with the ability to create tools. At the factory, in addition to manufacturing products, they test ideas and prototype constructions. The story of our optimism lies in their achievements.
